CHRISTMAS DECORATING AT ST. JOHN CHURCH
On Saturday, Nov. 30, at 9am we will be decorating our St. John Church for the upcoming Christmas Holiday season. Please consider helping, many hands make shorter work, and a time for fellowship. A sign-up sheet is in the Narthex. If you have any questions, please contact Pat Mueller (414-426-8422)
PROJECT CONCERN ANGEL TREE
Project Concern of Cudahy/St. Francis invites St. John members to help provide a memorable Christmas for financially challenged families. Would you like to be an “angel” this Christmas, and buy something special for one of these children? Look for our “Angel Tree” in the Narthex. Pick a tag. Purchase the item(s), or Gift Card(s).
One child’s wish is printed on each tag. (If you choose Gift Cards, consider purchasing through Karen Erickson, the Raise Right cards that would benefit our St. John Day Care), bring the item(s), to the Church Office unwrapped or in a gift bag with the tag placed on the outside of the item. Deadline is Tuesday, Dec. 3rd. Sponsors are asked to spend approximately $25-$30 on the gifts - thank you.
ST. JOHN BAKE SALE & CRAFT FAIR
You are invited to help make “Kolache” (Slovak Cookies). Dough mixing, rolling, filling and baking the Kolache will be done Dec. 1, 2 and 3. If you have a rolling pin or rolling sheets, please bring them along. Come when you can, leave when you must. All volunteers are welcome, men and women. Sign-up sheets are in the Narthex. Lunch will be served Monday and Tuesday.
Also, if you are able to make and donate Christmas Cookies and/or Christmas goodies - bars, breads, candies, etc. these are always appreciated. Your baked goods or crafts can be brought to the Church by 3pm on Friday, Dec. 6 to be packed and price for the sale on Saturday, Dec 7. Please see the sign-up sheets in the Narthex.
SPONSORING POINSETTIAS FOR CHRISTMAS
We will again be adorning our Altar this Christmas with poinsettias.
A sign-up sheet for sponsoring poinsettias is in the Narthex.
Cost: $15.00 per plant. Please put money, or a check made out to “St. John Altar Guild”, in an envelope marked “Poinsettias” and place it in the Altar Guild flower box in the Narthex. Deadline is December 15.
Plants may be picked up after the 10:00am Worship Service, December 25.
ADVENT DINNERS
Advent dinners will be served on the following Wednesdays in December at 5:15pm. If you would like to bring a dessert, please sign up in the Narthex. Come hungry and enjoy dinner with your church friends and family!

Dec. 11: Breakfast for dinner: Egg bakes, French Toast bakes, and fruit
